Drawing 31 is composed of two separate colour areas. An orange form descends from the upper part of the composition, while a blue form rises from the lower part, each occupying a limited portion of the surface.
Produced in a single continuous sitting, the drawing develops through an uninterrupted flow of soft lines. The colour areas remain contained within a broader field, allowing the surrounding space to stay open and quietly active.
One half of a brotherly French design duo, Ronan Bouroullec delivers a relaxed approach to his designs, always connecting the user on a humanistic level with clear, concise and accessible creations. His drawings are often studies and essential to his product design process.
